Slot Car Racing in 1:43 Scale
So we got infected with the slot car virus – my kids and I. And I’m going to build a three lane wooden race course on plywood with diy routed rails. There is a wooden track project on http://hoslotcarracing.com that I plan to adapt to european standards and products.

Meanwhile in the real world…
…we build a sectional track on plywood for starters. There are three basic sets available plus eight large radius curves to build a 4 track sectional layout. The main goalmis a semi-stationary set up with more than two tracks to race on. The secondary goal ist to use only those parts already available in those three boxes.
There is a larger crate with Atin track available too, which could be used to fill odd spaces or track sections (as I have no obligation against cutting these to fit, if there is any need).
Available sectional parts list
- 3x Power connector track sections (2/3rd length)
- 3x Round counter track sections (2/3rd length)
- 8x Curve No.2 (45 deg)
- 1x flyover track combination (Curve No.1)
- 2x crossover tracks (2/3rd)
